- We reserve the right to reschedule or cancel appointments if necessary.
4. Payment
- Accepted payment methods include bank transfer or cash.
- Payment is due at the time of booking.
- Packages or discounted sessions must be used within the timeframe stated at purchase.
5. Confidentiality
All client information is handled with strict confidentiality in accordance with GDPR and professional ethical standards. Confidentiality may only be broken if:
- You give explicit consent.
- There is risk of serious harm to you or others.
- We are required to do so by law or a court order.
6. Results and Responsibilities
Therapeutic outcomes vary from person to person. While we use evidence-based techniques and aim to support you fully, no specific results are guaranteed.
Your active participation, honesty, and consistency are essential to therapeutic success.
7. Suitability and Contraindications
EMDR and hypnotherapy are effective for many individuals, but they are not suitable for everyone. It is your responsibility to disclose all relevant health and psychological conditions before beginning therapy.
Therapy may be unsuitable or require adaptation in the presence of the following:
- Severe or unmanaged mental health conditions, including psychosis, schizophrenia, or untreated bipolar disorder.
- Current suicidal ideation or self-harming behaviour, unless supported by a psychiatrist or care team.
- Neurological conditions, such as epilepsy or seizure disorders.
- Heart conditions, including recent heart attack, angina, uncontrolled high blood pressure, or arrhythmias.
- Eye conditions that affect visual tracking or cause visual discomfort (e.g., uncontrolled nystagmus, strabismus, severe visual fatigue).
- Contact lenses: You may be asked to remove contact lenses during EMDR to avoid eye strain or discomfort.
- Varifocal glasses: These may interfere with eye movement exercises; you may be asked to wear single-vision glasses or remove glasses temporarily.
- Substance misuse or intoxication, which can impair cognitive processing and participation.
We may require a letter from your GP or healthcare provider to confirm it is safe for you to proceed. We reserve the right to postpone or decline therapy if we believe it is not appropriate for your safety or well-being.
We cannot be held responsible for adverse effects resulting from undisclosed health conditions.
