Making Sense of Your ADHD Mind

Five week ADHD programmes near Norwich

Making Sense of Your ADHD Mind offers two therapeutic programmes for adults with ADHD or suspected ADHD. Each runs for five weeks and is held at the beautiful location of SunFyr Barns near Norwich.

The two programmes bring together an understanding of ADHD, therapeutic visualisation and hypnotherapy. Across five sessions, we will explore challenges including executive dysfunction, emotional dysregulation, procrastination, overwhelm, burnout, low confidence, focus difficulties and time blindness.

The aim is to help you better understand how your mind works and develop a kinder relationship with yourself.

I have completed the Adult ADHD+ Certificate Course with Dr James Kustow at The Grove Practice, giving me specialist training in understanding the challenges adults with ADHD can experience.

When knowing what to do is not enough

You know what you need to do: get organised, use a planner, break tasks down, manage your time, sleep, look after yourself and stop putting things off.

But knowing what to do and being able to do it can feel like two completely different things. You may feel stuck, procrastinate or struggle to begin even when something matters to you. You may understand the advice yet find that executive dysfunction, overwhelm or a drop in confidence gets in the way of following through.

Perhaps you have been called unreliable, or told you’re not living up to your potential. It may be that your brain needs a different approach.

You are not alone. Your brain works differently, and understanding those differences can make space for more helpful ways forward.

What we will explore together

Each week includes practical exploration of the theme, followed by therapeutic visualisation and hypnotherapy.

Who the programmes are for

No formal diagnosis is required. Before your first session, you will be asked to complete a short screening form so I can check that the programme is appropriate for you.

Please note: these sessions do not assess or diagnose ADHD. They are complementary and do not replace medical care, ADHD assessment, medication or individual psychological treatment.

Choose your programme

You can choose one programme or attend both. Each programme stands on its own, so you do not need to complete one before joining the other.

What your booking includes

You are welcome to attend, listen and engage in whichever way feels comfortable for you.

Support between sessions

The work does not stop when you leave the room. After each session, you will receive a reinforcement audio recording to use between sessions.

The recording gives you the opportunity to revisit the theme at home, before sleep or whenever it feels right for you. This can help you continue reflecting on the session in your own time and at your own pace.

The role of hypnotherapy

Understanding what is happening is important, but knowing is not always enough to create a different response. Hypnotherapy offers an opportunity to slow down and explore patterns in a calm, focused state.

It is not about becoming a different person. It is about exploring new ways of responding and relating to yourself.

Hypnotherapy may support confidence, reduce shame and self criticism, encourage a kinder relationship with yourself, build emotional awareness and motivation and bring a greater sense of calm.
